SABINE IRAWAN: VINYASA FLOW YOGA AND SHADOW YOGA
Sabine has been a yoga teacher for over twenty years and has studied various styles such as Iyengar Yoga, Power Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga before completing the Shadow Yoga training in 2008. Since then she has mainly taught this style or incorporated elements of Shadow Yoga into her classes.
Shadow Yoga is a Hatha Yoga system that integrates elements from Martial Arts, Indian Dance, Ayurveda and Siddha Medicine. After warm-up, soft flowing movement sequences are practiced, preparing the body and mind step by step for the seated asanas and the inversions, mudra work and pranayama.
Sabine is also a Pilates teacher and Shiatsu and Cranio Sacral practitioner. The individual approach to yoga is important to her. The anatomically correct practice has just as much priority here as the flow of breath and working on inner energy.
